Silver Dollar City Crowd Calendar | May, June, July, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov,

Silver Dollar City seems to set a new attendance record with each passing year as SDC is well known for it’s family entertainment for all ages!  Knowing when they busiest times of the year at SDC is key to your sanity and enjoyment at the park.  Are you uncertain of which time of the year to plan your vacation to Branson?  Below we will share a month by month crowd calendar expectations so you can know what to expect.

Silver Dollar City Crowd Calendar by Month

(Silver Dollar City Crowd Calendar by Year)

March – The park opens in March and is one of the least busiest times of the year.  The lines are short, the temps are cool and the trees are just beginning to show signs that spring is around the corner.

During March you won’t have to worry about large crowds or waiting in line to go on the rides.  The festivals don’t kick off till mid April so there won’t be an influx of crowds that you will experience during the rest of the year.

April
– This is a great time to come to Silver Dollar City.  The Crowd Calendar chart is slowly on the rise, but the park is not yet very crowded.  The kids are still in school and the season is really just starting to kick off.  This year “The Festival of Wonder” occurred during April 3 – April 29.  If you missed it, don’t worry.  More festivals will be planned for 2024 and beyond.

The Festival of Wonder showcases larger than life performances from talented artists from all around the world. Other than the The Festival of Wonder, the park remains very calm.  You don’t have to wait very long in lines, and there are plenty of dining options all throughout the park.

During Late May the “Crowd Calendar” is Starting to Heat Up With the Weather

School graduations start occurring mid May to early June.  Kids will be out for summer and they will be ready for some fun.

However, May is still a great time to visit Silver Dollar City.  Most Branson family vacations occur during the mid summer months.  In May your still good to go.  The weather is usually in the 70’s and 80’s.  Flowers are blooming, the trees have their “green” back and it’s time to enjoy the outdoor weather.

During May, Silver Dollar City has the Bluegrass and BBQ festival from May 3 – May 28.  If you love Bluegrass and BBQ, then you will be in heaven.  Even if bluegrass isn’t your cup of tea, you will still be amazed at the raw talent that the musicians possess.  Beyond the great bluegrass music, SDC is a huge park and there are activities for any person’s interests regardless what time of year that you come.

June Crowd Calendar – Things Are Heating Up in June

With the families on vacations with their kids and all the water rides at the park, Silver Dollar City is great place to cool off.  The winding streets throughout SDC are lined with shade trees to help keep you cool.  They have many water rides for the kids and adults.

The Star-Spangled Summer festival is between June – July 22nd.  During this time you will see all sorts of attractions in the park.  You will see all of your favorite cartoon characters walking through the park. Furthermore, you can experience Championship Cloggers, live shows, and performance demonstrations all throughout the amusement park.

If you have young kids, June is a great time to go.  If you don’t like big crowds, maybe later in the season will be better for you.

The Crowd Calendar Chart is high during June.

If you will only be traveling with adults, we suggest planning a vacation during the fall.  If you don’t mind crowds and a lot of families with kids, then by all means June is a nice time to visit.

Plus, meet your favorite cartoon characters in person, see the lightning fast footwork of Championship Cloggers, enjoy family games & contests on the Square and so much more!

Also in Echo Hollow they will be featuring some very good concerts.  Some of the acts in June set to perform are nationwide popular acts that most people will be familiar with.

Crowd Calendar Chart Meter in July – Very High

July at Silver Dollar City is just crowded.  Plain and simple.  It’s also pretty hot.  While there are many water rides, cold refreshments and indoor shows to cool you off, it’s just not for me.  I make several trips to Silver Dollar City each year.  Experience has taught me that July isn’t for me.

However, if the heat doesn’t bother you then there are many reasons why July may be perfect for you.  They have a lot of outstanding Patriotic shows during July that will make you really proud to be an American.  They have indoor shows that are very good.  They have several shows hour upon the hour.  Some are fun variety type of shows.  Others feature amazing world class musicians and performers that are must see acts.

Crowd Calendar Chart in August Begins to Become More Calm

One of my observations of living in Branson for nearly 25 years is how the visitor clientele changes over the course of the season.  June and July is all about the family with kids in tow.  During August, most families have already did their summer vacation and are back at home preparing for the upcoming school year.

During August the crowds begin to die down for awhile.  The temperatures are still hot, and the “family vacations” are in decline.  In August you experience the “couples”.  The ones who want to avoid the huge crowds, but still enjoy summer time outdoor activities.  Silver Dollar City is more calm during August, but still on the steamy side.

September at SDC is Fantastic

During September you will find that the crowds aren’t as large and the temperatures begin to be more bearable.  The leaves are starting to turn and you get the sense of autumn being close at hand.

Actually, September is a great time to visit Silver Dollar City regardless of what kind of activities that you have planned on your itinerary.  You can still swim at the beaches, go fishing, and yes of course go enjoy SDC!

Concerts in Sept. include : Firefall (Sept 7), Steve Wariner (Septif 8), Sawyer Brown (Sept 9),

There is a National Harvest and Cowboy Festival from September 12 – October 27.

October at Silver Dollar City is Beautiful in the Ozarks

October is my favorite time of the year to visit Silver Dollar City.  The temperatures are cool and the atmosphere is very relaxing.  Leaves are falling off the trees, with orange leaves paving the streets.  The afternoons are warm, but the evenings are often cool.  You can literally stroll through the park during  the  month of Oct.

The National Harvest (up till Oct. 27) features wonderful craftsmen from all across the country proudly displaying their craftsmanship.  They also have fantastic “Cowboy” exhibitions around the town square and throughout the park.

Crowd Calendar During November – Silver Dollar City Christmas

Even if you have been to Silver Dollar City many times in your life, you have to make another trip if you have missed SDC during Christmas.  They have one of the most dazzling displays that you will ever see in your life.  The park becomes magical with millions of lights lighting up Silver Dollar City.  They have many shows honoring the birth of Jesus and the meaning of Christmas.

The crowds can be large during Silver Dollar City Christmas in November, but most of the people are there for the lights.  If you have members with you that would love to ride the roller coasters, they can do so with short lines.  However, there are weather limitations on when they cancel the rides.  However, during November the temperatures rarely get cold enough to be shut down.

Crowd Calendar During December – Silver Dollar City Christmas

Every night you can experience the Silver Dollar City X-Mas shows, nightly parades, and the Spirit of Christmas.  They have hot chocolate on many locations and you will definitely notice that Christmas is in the air.  You can even sit on Santa’s lap or participate in an Elves workshop!

In conclusion :

There are many variables depending on what kind of visitor you are.  Everyone has different expectations for the Branson vacation.  Some will have their kids, some will be traveling as a couple, and older visitors may want to avoid heat or strenuous activities.  I hope our month to month crowd calendar gives you an idea of what you can expect.
