Silver Dollar City Christmas Parade – Lighting Ceremony, and What to Expect in 2023

The official opening for the Christmas season begins on November 7th and will continue through Christmas until December 30th.  The typical daily schedule is Thursday – Sunday from 1PM – 9PM, but you should double check the calendar above and make sure that they will be open for when you plan on coming to see the lights and festivities at SDC. When Is SDC Have The Least Amount of Visitors – If  you don’t like big crowds, the best day to go is on a Thursday.

Parking Is Free – Yes, you heard that right.  Most amusement parks, sporting events, concerts, etc… make you pay for parking.  At Silver Dollar City parking is free.  They also have shuttles that are constantly picking up visitors at the shuttle stations that are in every parking lot.

There Are Over 5 MILLION Christmas Lights Twinkling Every Night

The lighting ceremony at Silver Dollar City is a spectacular event that kicks off the An Old Time Christmas® festival at the theme park in Missouri. The ceremony takes place at 5:30 p.m. each night the park is open and features the Joy On Town Square attraction, which includes a state-of-the-art 8-story animated Christmas tree playing the songs of the season synchronized in time with the surrounding Christmas trees, festoons and buildings around The Square. The tree has hundreds of thousands of lights that can create four million different shades of color and display amazing images and animations
